Make your way to Varrock and look for the kids wearing the special Halloween costumes. You can check out the location on the map. The holiday icon marks the spot. The location is near Zaff’s shop and the bank in the western part of the city. You cannot miss the big cauldron. The kids hand you a treat cauldron. You must collect more treats to fill the big cauldron. Various NPCs in Asgarnia and Misthalin give treats. Some are more generous than others. King Roald, Duke Horacio, Party Pete, Aggie, and Hetty will give you 100 treats each. They are not in the tricking business like other NPCs. On your way to obtain treats, you will encounter NPCs that will trick you. Tricking will result in one of the following things. You can turn into a rat, bat, or spider for a few seconds during which you lose control. You may receive items that can be combined to form a consumable that gives treats. You may see a ghost and if you have the ghost-speak amulet, you will be able to talk to it and get a buff that guarantees the next trick-or-treat to give you five treats. NPCs can also ask you to trick-or-treat others before you can trick-or-treat them. Players may receive 3-5 treats from NPCs.
