Trish Stratus is a Canadian professional wrestler, actress, fitness model, and television personality. She is widely regarded as one of the greatest female wrestlers in the history of the sport. Early Life
Trish Stratus was born Patricia Anne Stratigias on December 18, 1975, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. She attended Bayview Secondary School, where she was a member of the volleyball team. She then attended York University and earned a degree in kinesiology. Following her studies, she worked at various fitness clubs, including Goodlife Fitness, and as a personal trainer.
Stratus started her professional wrestling career in 2000, when she signed a contract with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Prior to her in-ring debut, she worked as a valet for the tag team T & A.
Professional Career
Trish Stratus made her in-ring debut in 2000 as a villainous character. She quickly gained popularity and gained recognition for her athleticism and charisma. She won her first championship in 2001, when she defeated Ivory for the Women’s Championship. She held the title for six months before losing it to Jazz.
Stratus continued to have success in the ring, winning the Women’s Championship four more times before her retirement in 2006. She also won the WWE Hardcore Championship twice, making her the only female wrestler to ever hold the title.
