Early Life
Chante Moore was born in San Francisco, California on February 17, 1967. Her mother was a singer and her father was a jazz musician. Moore spent her childhood in Oakland, California and attended Oakland High School. She started singing at the age of four and eventually landed a record deal with the independent label Silas Records.
