Early Life
Enya was born Eithne Patricia Ní Bhraonáin (anglicised as Enya Patricia Brennan) on May 17, 1961, in Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland. She was the fifth and final child of the family. Enya’s siblings were accomplished musicians, and she learned to play the piano and the tin whistle from a young age.
