Early Life
Jeff Hardy was born on August 31, 1977, in Cameron, North Carolina. He is the son of Gilbert and Ruby Moore Hardy, and the younger brother of Matt Hardy. He attended Union Pines High School in North Carolina. Hardy was interested in motocross racing and skateboarding as a child. He began watching professional wrestling at the age of 12. Hardy was trained by his brother Matt in wrestling and high-flying moves.
Professional Wrestling Career
Hardy made his professional wrestling debut in 1994 at the age of 16. He worked for various independent promotions in the United States and Canada. In 1998, he signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). He formed a tag team with his brother Matt, known as The Hardy Boyz. They quickly became one of the most successful tag teams in WWF history, winning the WWF Tag Team Championship six times.
Hardy left the WWF in 2002 and signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship twice and the TNA X Division Championship three times.
