    Stephon Marbury is an American professional basketball player who has had a long and successful career in the NBA. He is best known for his time with the New York Knicks, but has also had stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, and Boston Celtics. Marbury is a three-time All-Star and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. He has earned a reputation as one of the best point guards of his era and has been inducted into the Chinese Basketball Association Hall of Fame.

    Early Life

    Stephon Marbury was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1977. He grew up in a single-parent home and was raised by his mother, Annette Stephens. Marbury was a standout basketball player from a young age, and was recruited by the University of Georgia, where he was an All-American point guard. After one year in college, Marbury declared for the 1996 NBA Draft and was selected fourth overall by the Milwaukee Bucks.

    Professional Career

    Marbury was then traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he began to make a name for himself in the league. He was an All-Star in 2001 and 2003 and was a key member of the Timberwolves’ playoff teams in those years. After a brief stint with the Phoenix Suns, Marbury was traded to the New York Knicks in 2004. He was a fixture in the starting lineup for four years and was named an All-Star for the third time in his career in 2005.

    Later Life

    Marbury left the Knicks in 2009 and played for the Boston Celtics and the Chinese Basketball Association. He has won numerous awards in the CBA, including two championships and three MVP awards. Marbury was inducted into the CBA Hall of Fame in 2018. He is also an entrepreneur, launching the Starbury sneaker line in 2006 and the Starbury Media company in 2017.

Marbury is a three-time All-Star, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and CBA Hall of Fame inductee. He is also an entrepreneur, having launched the Starbury sneaker line and Starbury Media.
